• The Roamio OTA Box comes without the cable interface card that is necessary to receive the cable signal. I don't think you can add the cable card to a Roamio OTA vox.

• I have had 10 it more tivos through the years. If I'm not mistaken it will not work because you would need a cable card and i don't think satellite has cable cards. Your can call tivo, their techs are decent but be prepared for a hard sell. They will try anything to get you to switch to tivo.
