Yep! That's what happens. I spent a LOT making everything compatible. Just what you have to do sometimes. That said, the quality of today's component pieces seems to be better and is worth the upgrades.

Please try again later.if you have an optical audio input on your surround sound, it should work connect streamer to optical audio input on you r receiver. set receiver to this input and tv to streamer input. should work if have these inputs. I had same problem good picture but wrong sound. These cables will work if you have optical audio connections on both ends of source and sound system

There should also be a device to convert it to coaxial cable with appropriate connecter. Best Buy and Amazon and many vendors sell them. Good luck.
