FireTV... etc).... which means you have to buy a streamer for each tv or unplug a streamer and carry it to you other tv and plug it in. You don't need DirectTV to watch something from a streaming device.... you need an internet provider only.
A:AnswerYou can, I did not have any problems. I eventually found a USB port on my TV itself. Like mine, some TV USBs have enough power output, in the build in USB, to power the stick so you don't have to look for a plug. The HDMI itself does not supply power to the stick. The plus is when the TV is turned off the stick is also turned off when being powered by the USB built into your TV..
