There are two HDMI slots on the bottom of the sound bar. One HDMI In and one HDMI out.

Yes it has hdmi connections in back and also a digital cable that comes with the bar. I connected via digital cable.

It can connect via an HDMI cable (not provided) but also comes with an optical digital audio cable (that's what I used with no distortion to picture and sounds great). Most TVs in the past 10 years have this optical output.
