I love this sound bar system because it was easy to connect with my Samsung TV, and I was able to control with same remote. I had difficulty connecting the subwoofer..but got it now. I love it especially when I am watching movies. Great sound quality!!

This sound is very easy to connect. I did not have to spend so much time reading the manual and best of all the subwoofer is wireless. The sound quality for music and television is loud enough for a living room and is adjustable for a louder volume.

I wanted to buy a soundbar to add to my TV but I've kind of hesitated with the price of the sound bars. I was happy to find this one at such a good black friday price that I had to grab one. I gotta say, I am pretty impressed with it so far. Now to be honest it's not gonna be the "soundbar to rule all soundbars" and its usage can vary based on what type of room setup you may have. In my living room setup, it's not a very big room and I live in a townhome so I didn't want a mega-theater system to shake, rattle, and roll my walls. But instead, I want to feel some of the bass and feel the audio is directed to the watchers of the TV instead of using the TV speaker. For all that, this sound bar does great. There is a couple of small caveat during setup that I ran into that were a little confusing. For my TV I wanted to use the standard ARC HDMI and I thought when looking at the connector the HDMI IN made the most logical sense to plug into. But doing some google searches after my soundbar wasn't working 100% correctly that wasn't the case as you are supposed to connect to the HDMI OUT (ARC) which is oddly worded. Feel like it should HDMI IN (ARC). Suppose you could call it user error but I felt like I should mention it. But I digress. The connectors are on the bottom of the soundbar which can be a little bit of a pain to hide the cords when you are mounting the soundbar to your TV mount. But that just might be Samsung soundbar in general. I love how information about the soundbar control are displayed right in the front of the soundbar in fairly large characters. So you know what volume settings are at when you change it or the sound setting type is set too when you change it. Setup for the subwoofer was super easy in fact all you have to do is just plug it in and that's pretty much it. Least for my case. The woofer can definitely rattle my walls during a scene in the movies which gives me that dynamic sound feeling when something big and explosive happens in movies. That something that the standard TV speaker can't do. Overall, if you're looking for a soundbar that has the highest surround sound and audio options on the market I would advise to look at some other soundbars. But if you're looking for a pretty good basic soundbar to enhance your TV audio I would say try this one out.

Purchased this on Black Friday 2018 via website and picked up in store. Brought it home, unpacked, read the instructions, setup was a snap, and SOUNDS GREAT! I am only using the digital audio input with my Vizio E70-E3 and if you read the instructions, VIZIO is compatible so your existing remote for your TV can turn the volume up and down, if you hold a button on the Sound Bar remote for 5seconds. Just like any new speakers, I had to tune the treble, bass etc to the room, but all in all happy with the purchase ($139). Now, time to research rear wireless speakers to add. Just noticed this model is NOT compatible with the SWA-8500s rear wireless speakers. Here are the compatible models; HW-M360 HW-M369 HW-M450 HW-M460 HW-M4500 HW-M4501 HW-M4510 HW-M4511 HW-M550 HW-M560.

This sound bar is great for the price you pay. The bass definitely kicks quite a bit and the general sound quality is great. I have it hooked up via bluetooth with the Samsung link setting that my Samsung TV has. I had it connected via optical cable and it doesn't sound any worse with bluetooth. Would definitely recommend this as an entry level sound bar.

I have a not-so-wonderful TV, and the sound is very inconsistent, which led me to look at soundbars. I ordered this and the setup was very very easy. It has a few different modes and can connect multiple ways to the TV. What I like about the subwoofer is that it connects to the bar via bluetooth, so you can keep it in a separate area. The sound quality is wonderful, especially if you don't want to spend a ton on just a sound bar. I also occasionally hook my phone up to it via bluetooth which is awesome for me to be able to do. Anyway I recommend this one

Bought this just to replace tv speakers on TCL Roku tv which depending on the app you’d have to adjust volume way up and way down. But am really impressed with the sound quality and amount of customization. Bass, treble, and sub can be individually adjusted as well as choosing from 5 presets. The Surround sound effect is noticible when turned on. And the wireless sub is just really handy - have it 10ft away from tv in corner of room and no problem connecting. Have used Bluetooth setting to listen to podcasts and music via phone and it’s fantastic for that as well.

If you're spending any significant amount of money on a new TV I would consider a soundbar pretty much an essential purchase if you don't already have some kind of sound system to connect it to. The TV is just half of the experience and a good soundbar will really help it shine. I bought this for a 58" Samsung NU7100 TV. The soundbar slides perfectly under the TV and between the legs and the wireless subwoofer is small enough to easily tuck into a corner or between the wall and the couch. You get most all of the inputs you're ever going to need including HDMI (with ARC), optical, and 3.5mm. There's also Bluetooth built-in as well. The sound is great, especially for a 2.1 system. It has a fullness that you're just never going to get from TV speakers and details and dialog from movies and TV shows are much easier to hear. Connected to the Samsung TV via HDMI ARC the control with the TV remote was seamless, which means I was able to take the small remote that came with the soundbar and store it in a drawer. Not having one more remote in the mix is nice. At it's normal price I think this soundbar is a good value, but I got this as a pre-Black Friday deal and if you're able to grab it at that price it's an absolute steal.

Amazing soundbar better than Sony HTCT290 2.1

This is the best 2.1 sound bar you could get in its price range. Before this I purchased Sony sound bar and was not happy with its bass. It pretty much sounded flat. This samsung sound bar has amazing bass and rumble that you feel like in a theatre. For example when I watch Netflix series Frozen planet, My entire house and floor rattles with roar and rumble from subwoofer especially during shots when ice mountains break and fall into ocean. Also, many people believe that you need ARC compatible HDMI port on Tv so that you can control soundbar volume with TV remote. The fact is that this sound bar comes with optical cable and you can still control soundbar volume with Tv remote. Just that many people dont care to read manual. on sound bar remote there is a button called "sound". Press and hold that button for 5 seconds that activates the TV sound control mode. Now you can keep sound bar remote aside and just control your TV as well as sound bar volume with TV remote directly. Btw I have a Sony Tv and this feature should be supported be major Tv brands. Also, on a different note, Just make sure in your tv menu audio settings you choose output set to external speakers or whatever your tv calls it. that way you dont hear double sounds from TV built-in speakers and also external sound bar. The only issue I find with this sound bar is that when I pair with my iPhone Bluetooth, the audio cuts out once in a while for few milli seconds. some kind of syncing or compatibility issue i guess. Other than that the sound output is really heavy and well worth it. thank you.

After doing quite a bit of online research, I went into my local Best Buy to purchase this Samsung sound bar. I allowed the salesperson to talk me into a LG - 2.1-Channel Hi-Res Audio Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X instead that was about $20 cheaper on sale. I went home and hooked up the LG and it sounded like garbage. The sound from the speaker was thin and if there was anything at all coming from the subwoofer, I couldn't detect it. I returned the LG and picked up the Samsung I had originally went to the store for. The Samsung was much easier to hook up via ARC than the LG had been. It worked flawlessly with my TCL 4K TV. The sound of the Samsung over the LG is like night and day. It sounds fuller across all ranges than the LG did and the subwoofer not only works, it has a deep and full sound to it as well. If you are shopping for a sound bar in the $200 range, I would highly recommend this product. Take a hard pass on the LG line.

I've been in the market for a soundbar for a few weeks now. Bought my first one a few weeks ago - it was a Yamaha soundbar. Went with that one first as I have a Yamaha receiver in my living room and it sounds amazing. The soundbar? Trash. Returned it for a Sony. That one sounded better but was still missing something. I returned it and came to this one. WOW! Should have started here first. Sound is crisp, clear and loud. The subwoofer is definitely Not underpowered. I have already recommended this to my boss as well as a few friends. It sounds better than my 5.1 surround system in the living room. If you're in the market for a high end soundbar on a beer budget, look no further. This is amazing. You won't be disappointed.

New Samsung TV with terrible sound. Read reviews on a lot of sound bars, didn't want to spend big bucks for a bedroom TV. Was skeptical but have not been disappointed. Easy, quick hook up, paired with TV easily. This bar has sound options our older more expensive bar in living room doesn't have and the bass really makes a difference. Had about 3 weeks, very happy so far.

this product shocked me. the proce was really reasonable and i figured i’d give it a try - i went in with very low expectations. i was pleasantly shocked by how awesome this is in the room we have it in. we’ve watched movies, tv.. and streamed a TON of music and it’s really excellent. i liked that it was easy to set up AND tweak all the settings for our room. as far as the room size: the room is approx 20x9 with 8 foot celings. The tv is all the way to one end of that 20’ length. We set the woofer behind the tv in a huge armoir. the woofer is aesthetically nice to leave out, but i don’t like seeing things and we wanted to hide it. The cabinet really helps boomify things - kinda sweetens that bass just a little more. Try this one even as a starting point. My parents have a room with vaulted ceilings and went with the next model up, they love it. Highly recommend these in this price range.

This soundbar sounds great. Loud crisp sound, good bass, and the system itself looks and feels very high quality. Both movies and music sound fantastic. We were very happy with our purchase until a few days afterwards. There seems to be a bug in either the software, the hardware for the remote, or the remote itself where the volume will randomly start increasing to max. At first we thought we were sitting on the remote but that wasn't the case. It would happen over and over again. I decided to take the batteries out of the remote and it has not happened since. So we use our soundbar the old-fashioned way with the buttons on the side of the bar and only use the remote as needed for adjusting settings. I believe there may be a software update to address this bug, but to me, a basic set of speakers like this shouldn't require software patches. I would like to think that a year later, this bug has been addressed for the new inventory. Outside of that issue, these speakers are great.

I'm first to admit that my issues with this are due to operator problems, but seriously the instructions need to do a better job. For the most part I'm super satisfied with the quality of the sound. But I've had difficulties getting it linked up so the TV's remote also controls sound volume (sound turns on and off via TV remote, but volume only adjusts with the sound bar's remote. I also am not able to successfully link my Comcast remote to the TV/soundbar set up. Eventually I will probably bring in the Geeks or somebody to help. In my wanderings thru the soundbar instructions, I somehow activated a setting that turns volume waaay low for TV commercials, but on certain networks it kicks in during shows (not sure why), so that is a little annoying. Again, I fully acknowledge it's my lack of understanding of a too-brief instruction sheet more than the product itself.
