• I'm happy to help with this, Larsk! In fact, I can answer both of these questions using this link (https://bit.ly/371vtuP) to the user manual. Page 22 has a diagram that shows where the ice maker is located, in the upper left corner of the freezer section. The water filter is not included with this model. However, you can find instructions on how to install an external filter beginning on page 16. ^Jecca
