QuestionI understand the cast iron griddle that came with our new cooktop (which I LOVE) did not come seasoned. Is it okay for me to coat the griddle with vegetable oil and place in a 400 degree oven for one hour to season it without damaging the steel HANDLES??

QuestionWe are replacing an older model gas cooktop. Is the height given including the grates? I don't know if this will fit in the cutout space we have over the oven as it is higher than our current specks but I know these grates are more substantial.

QuestionThere are review comments about grates on NA30N6555TS (the model before this one) chipping easily. I'm wondering if the grates on this one are of a higher quality. Do they really clean easily and do they chip?

Question1. How do I know if my Cast Iron Griddle is Coated or Not Coated because i did not see that as a choice. 2. Is the gas pressure valve part of the LP Conversion Kit and only used when making that conversion from Natural Gas to LP?

Screw (6) (M4L10 2 ea, M4 L16 2 ea, W3/16 L75 2 ea) 6. Regulator (1) 7. Hold down brackets (2) 8. Cover (1) 9. Foam tape Parts that need to be purchased separately are the following: 1. Gas line shut-off valve 2. Flexible metal appliance connector ½ in (ID) x 5 ft 3. Flare union adapter ¾ in or ½ in (NPT) x ½ in (ID) 4. QuestionCan the bluetooth wireless module be removed? It seems it would not fit our existing cut-out.

- Answer I had a question about the wireless module too. We're replacing an existing cooktop with this one. Our existing cooktop has a down draft exhause positioned within 1/8th of an inch of the rear of the current cooktop. I can't really tell from the pictures whether the wireless module extends beyond the dimension of the top or not. Does it?

QuestionIs the cooking surface black stainless or porcelain?

- Answer The surface housing the 5 gas rings are stainless steel and it is a seal set up for the gas ring. This makes cleaning fairly easy and straight forward for my household.
