Hello. Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung - 21.8 Cu. Ft. French-Door Refrigerator does it have an internal water filter. Regarding your concern, The water filter must be installed outside the refrigerator. It is not provided with your new refrigerator. The filter cartridge and holder kit can be purchased from the retailer where you purchased this refrigerator. Here is a link to your user manual for further assistance.
