I haven't had a problem with my septic tank. I just use Ridex monthly and I think that will take care of any problems.

NO. The "Silver Care/ActivFresh" cycle does not harm septic tanks/lines nor the enviroment. If anything is helps with energy savings because you use the silver care which is a cold water sanitary cylce. So you are not using a hot water sanitary cycle.
