Left, but it can be on either side thanks to the use of flexible gas line to connect it.

Viewing from the front it would be on the left side.

If you are looking from at the stove from the front, gas is on the left side and the electric cord is on the right.

Mine is on the right side; the fitting for the flexible line is on the left side on the back of the range.

Thanks for the question, Bobthebuilder! Samsung recommends installing the gas line for the NX58H5600SS within a 17" wide by 9" high area behind the lower left side of the Range on the wall, or if installed through the floor, it should be within 17" of the left side and no more than 2" from the wall. If this is unclear, I'd suggest referring to the Install Guide that comes with the Range for an illustrated view of the recommended gas and electric areas, since I'm unable to attach a diagram to this answer. - Ms. Samsung
