How easy it is to remove the burner grates? I'm a messy cook and will need to lift them after ever meal to clean.

Couldn't be easier! I There are three rectangular cast iron grates; just pick them up and set them aside. Then wiping up the top is a breeze, because the whole top is sealed. I usually just pick up one grate at a time and give it a quick wipe down and then go to the next one. It's so easy to clean that I usually just hold the grate in one hand while cleaning with the other.

Grates are heavy, but lift easily for cleaning.
