What's the difference between this TV and the UN65MU8000FXZA? Besides a few hundreds more on the 65" CLASS MU9000. null

Local dimming, sound quality, picture quality. I looked at both side by side with the same picture showing. I would suggest you do the same before making a choice. If the difference would only have been money I certainly would have purchased the 8000 instead of the 9000. Hope this helps.

When we looked at the sets at the store, the 9000 seemed to have a bit sharper picture than the 8000. At home, with no other sets competing, the 9000 picture is fantastic. Very sharp and vivid colors. When thinking about having the TV for five or more years, the small difference in price didn't seem that much.

I believe it's the refresh rate of the picture and the MHZ.
