A:AnswerLocal dimming, sound quality, picture quality. I looked at both side by side with the same picture showing. I would suggest you do the same before making a choice. If the difference would only have been money I certainly would have purchased the 8000 instead of the 9000. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerI currently have a 2010 Samsung 1080P, 240 hertz refresh rate TV and have the MU9000 on order. I can tell you the colors seem brighter and more vibrant on the MU8000 and 9000. The Sony colors are more life like with out the in your face colors. To me they are both good TV's and the decision is simply taste in what you will be using them for, but i have have multiple smaller Samsung TV's and all have been great.
A:AnswerI had the Samsung MU9000 for less than three weeks and a thin white line developed across the entire screen... needless to say I wasnt happy. The service tech with Geek Squad came out and said it's a bad panel so they are ordering a replacement panel. $2400 on a TV, (4) days past the allowable return policy so I'm getting a lemon repaired...
A:AnswerI have only have this TV for 2 days. I have noticed motion blur. It's not all the time. I noticed it as I was watching a commercial yesterday and a little girl in a fairy costume was running - I could see blur in the wings. My husband barely saw it. Don't know if some more people are more sensitive that others. It aggravates me. We upgraded from a 2009 Sony si of course this TV picture is phenomenal. I just wish I could fix this issue.
A:AnswerYes I had the same issue. Went round around with spectrum. Finally changed the box out and ran new under ground cable. Not sure which one was the fix, but has been fine for months with no issues.
A:AnswerARC is basically a specialized HDMI port that permits the tv to "talk both ways" to the A/V receiver on the other end. Using this HDMI port is ideal for A/V type receivers (sound bars and the like) because the signal goes both ways allowing the tv to turn on/off the A/V receiver when needed.
A:AnswerIn the store the 8000 will appear brighter but it's due to the 9000s ECO feature dimming and Samsung applied a tint to the screen to reduce reflection, you can see it when the unit is powered off. Otherwise it's a great tv with similar features of QLEDs just not as bright.
A:AnswerIt’s from the edge protective cellophane - if you had it installed by Geek Squad get in touch with the tech - if not I’d go back to the store where a bought the TV and ask at least the salesman and their manager what to do.
