Our set up is not each piece side by side but across the room (probably 6-8 foot of hose required). Is there a specific type of hose that is recommended? Also, is this an easy step to make after install?”

I was not present at installation, but there is a hose that needs to be connected. I imagine it is the same as a washer hose, as they put a Y-connector in my line for it. I would imagine that all you need is to connect the hose for it to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The dryer comes with a box inside with a Y valve and a short piece of hose to connect to the water supply line. Then two hoses can be fitted (standard washing machine hoses) one to the washer, one to the dryer.

Please try again later.my set up they are next to each other and I got a Y splitter with one hose line going to the wash mashing and the other to the dryer from the splitter, not sure if you would be able to run a hose from the splitter by the wash machine to your dryer, but its just a regular hose line that you use for the wash machine, not sure if they make them 6-8ft long or if you have to take two hose to make it long enough if you can run the hose from the wash machine to the dryer, the other option would be to get a cold water source by the dryer like what you have by the wash machine
