Not sure about the compatability, it was a 2.5 inch SATA drive. I used to think anything with a laptop required an expert, but after watching many YouTube videos I felt confident. I would recommend doing a backup and having a recovery disk handy just in case. Find a good cloning software, I would have used the free Samsung software (from their website), but it didn't support the 860. You will also need a cable. I got mine (Sabrent) for around $10. So save the money and do it yourself.

If your laptop uses a standard SATA connection, and the drive is sized for laptops I don't see why this would not work. Look into it and let us all know! All the best!
