Can i use an external optical drive with it? null

Yes, this Samsung will accept optical drives. However, depending on the drive, you may need an outside power source. The Cd/DVD reader writer I use needs two USB connections one for power and one for data transfer. Since there are two USB's on this unit you may get it to work, but I decided not to draining that much power for the system.
