“My Verizon Note 5 is paid off & my Verizon acct states I am eligible to upgrade.When I try to order the Note 8 & upgrade on BB & I enter my phone # I get the message: "You're not currently eligible, but we can help." ??”

You may be on some plan service agreement that is preventing your upgrade. As you own your phone outright, I would contact Verizon to get that straightened out.

Please try again later.verizon should know why? first they dont like it when you pay off the phone. they want to keep it and reuse it. in a year there is eligibility when you give up the phone you have and it is not paid off yet. otherwise i think you have to wait two years. you can change carriers. verizon is not worth all the hype but they do have good reception so due to the lack of carriers out there (lol its a monopoly) you could be stuck with them. its who i have..lol.
