I chatted with Verizon today about a Note 5 trade-in and they said that the promotional value only applies if you buy the Note 8 directly from Verizon and not thru Best Buy. Seems like it could be an issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.RobC is correct. Verizon is offering $480 on the trade in of the Note5 in prefect condition. Bestbuy will offer $150 off the phone's price. That's how you get it to the $12.75 a month. You can either mail in your Note5 or take it into Verizon to do the trade in. Verizon said it would take up to 2 bill cycles to get the credit. If you go to Verizons site and click on the Note8 and click the link for 50% trade in, you will see the Note5 under the $480 spot.

If you go to this page "https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-store/samsung-note8/pcmcat1502135522036.c?id=pcmcat1502135522036" and then click "Learn More" under the Verizon tab which is directly under the Note 8 picture, it will tell you what phones you can trade in for what amount and the monthly price. Per your post, you have a Note 5 which IS under the $480 Trade In section with a Monthly Price of $12.75. I am doing the same thing with my S7 Edge. In total, the phone should cost (after rebates and trade-in) $319.99 over 24 months. Remember though, the tax is on the FULL PRICE of the phone, not the after rebate price so you will be paying tax on the $939 phone. Hope this helps because I am looking at the same rebate/trade-in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 50% off offer is through Verizon, not Samsung. The Samsung offer is different and only available to previous note 7 owners. I preordered through Verizon via best buy. I then called Verizon to see what I needed to do to get that offer. The customer service rep told me to go to either a best buy store or a Verizon store after the note 8 arrives (within 14 days) to complete the trade-in for the 50% off. Hope this helps answer your question.

Especially since the promotion was offered through Best Buy for Verizon only.
