This is WiFi only. Turn on your Mobile Hotspot on your phone & you can connect this tablet to that - any service, not just T-Mobile. You don't need to go to any mobile phone store - just search for WiFi and connect (whether your phone, Starbucks, your home WiFi, your work WiFi, pay-to-connect WiFi, like on a plane, etc.).
