which phones are compatible? Will this work with my motorola smartphone using Android or do I need to change to Samsung? I was planning on getting the new S6 edge but would like to hold off if possible. My dad has an older Samsung note 2 that I could use with this watch if needed. Trying to save on upgrading the phone as well as buying this device!

This watch only works with specific Samsung phones, basically the main phones and most Samsung phones with 4.3 Jelly Bean or higher. It will likely not work on the budget Samsung phones. I use a Note 4 and have heard of people using it with their Note 3, not sure about the Note 2.

Samsung has decided to use its own operating system called "Tizen" on the gear 2 and gear 2 neo, so what that means is that YOU WILL have to use a samsung phone with this particular smartwatch. For this reason the gear 2 neo is not compatible with any other phone manufacturer. I hope that helped.
