“SIMS CARD ? I am a total novice on this topic. Please forgive my lack of knowledge with this question. Does this laptop have a place for a SIMS card? Not sure of the correct spelling of the item but that is what it sounds like. TY”

No. The wi-fi versions have a slot but no support or hardware to use it. I believe the 3G/4GLTE versions would have to have a SIM card to access the network. Samsung Chromebooks do have a memory card reader / slot for transferring media.

DZbest, SIM cards are usually referred to with cellular services. This Chromebook can support Wi-Fi connections, but has no port for a SIM card. There may be other ways to connect to your cellular services, but your service provider would be able to give you more information on that. The Chromebook supports Wi-Fi only.
