Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, glossy but in a good way. Doesn't show every fingerprint, which is handy when you use the touch screen. I have only ever used it indoors, but in different lighting,( school and home ) it is consistent and bright enough for me.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the screen is glossy. You can adjusting the screen brightness (via a function key). I've not used the device in bright sunlight, so I can't comment on how satisfied you might be with the brightness adjustment.
