Laptop was bought online as open box in excellent condition. The reason for 3 stars is it was filthy! I'm glad we opened it before Christmas to charge batteries. It had food stuck to keys, what looks like snot or soda spilled on it and not sure but one spot looks like dried blood. Other than haven to clean it for 15 minutes it seems to work as intended. I have bought numerous open box items from best buy and have always been pleased. This one, not so much.

I have been on a trend to downsize the footprint and weight of my electronics. Now that performance in the newest Intel chips and SSD drives has reached the point of performance that in the past required a heavy unit with high volume fans now this units performance serves my needs at around 3 pounder with 13.3" screen being optimal for using in lap or on airplane tray..
I find that it runs not only my office programs where I create large complex spreadsheets or power points very well, it also does casual gaming quite well too.
The form factor of weight and size was important to me as this is a unit I carry with me on trips along with my company provided unit and a Samsung S3 Tablet too. I have the Surface GO as well when I need to be minimalist to the max, but I find the sweet spot for me in the Samsung notebook 7 Spin 2in1. It has a good keyboard with lighting and the display is very pleasing. I have found generally that Samsung products feel better made than most other brands and this unit is no exception to that feeling.
I highly recommend this unit, especially at the discounted price that I got from Best Buy for anyone who travels or works on a lap pad while sitting in the recliner or bed. The size is perfect for me and I find very little need to switch to my powerful desktop as this machine runs everything I need at an acceptable speed.

After the wife's Dell laptop finally gave up the ghost, I was on a short timeline to find her a suitable replacement. This laptop offered the perfect combination of price point, weight/portability and performance. Make no mistake this is not the device for hardcore gaming or cpu intensive video editing. However, for my wife it was light enough that should would remember to take in on trips vice trying to get by with her Iphone/Ipad.

Samsung Notebook 7 Spin 13.3 inch i5 256gb 8ram
Overall: Would not pay the full price but on sale this laptop is hard to beat. Does everything a power business user or student would need and does it well!
I've only had this for a few days but so far i'm very happy with the purchase. I was a little surprised at how small it is, almost looks like a netbook or chromebook, but it is still the standard 13.3 inch screen. The form factor is small because there is a limited bezel around the screen. I have another 13.3 inch laptop and side by side this one is almost an inch or two smaller, the screens being the exact same size. This gives the benefit of the laptop being super light weight and ultra portable. When i first fired up the laptop the performance was a bit choppy, but after i updated all my drivers and windows 10 to the latest edition, it now runs fast and smooth. Apps open in a second and i have no problem multitasking. I connect this to multiple monitors and run excel, youtube, chrome tabs, pdfs, and outlook at the same time and have no issues with speed. I also got this on a very good sale from best buy so that made it the perfect purchase.
Pros:
-Very small form factor. Only a small amount of bezel around the screen. Very lightweight.
-Fast performance. Multitasks a bunch of apps and boots up in seconds. Overall very quick and responsive.
-has latest 8th generation intel processors. (See point above)
-Has a premium feel. Plastics used sparingly and overall has a reliable strong feel. Hinges don't seem weak when transitioning between tablet and laptop mode.
Cons:
-Weird speaker placement. Underneath the laptop. Good for viewing in tablet mode but not in laptop mode.
-lock button and finger print reader in weird position. It is on the side of the laptop by the USB port. Awkward position and sometimes when the laptop is laying flat on a table is hard to use the fingerprint sensor. Will take some getting used to.
-A lot of Samsung/Windows bloatware. Will take a couple hours updating the machine and deleting all the unnecessary background/included apps.

Perfect Smaller Laptop

Knowing that my tax refund was on the way, I started comparing smaller laptops, 12" to 14" range. After a few days of research, I'd narrowed it down to either this one or the Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 13.3" Touch-Screen Laptop. In terms of specs, they are virtually identical. The Samsung is lacking an SD card slot (media card reader), but that was not a mark against it for me since I already have a couple of adapters on hand. Even the reviews were similar.
However, the differences really showed when I saw them in person. Despite being advertised as having the same 1920 x 1080 screen, there were clear differences. I watched the same movie trailers on both laptops. The screen on the Dell was so glossy, it was nearly impossible to find a good viewing angle. Once I did, the colors appeared washed outs. The Samsung's screen was less glossy, so it was easier to find a good viewing angle. The colors were also more vibrant. Watching the trailers on the Samsung was a much better experience.
Other reviewers say the Dell's speakers are better. However, I did not notice that much difference. But given that my hearing is slightly damaged, you might notice a difference. If I listen to anything on my laptop, I usually have headphones, so the speakers are not that important to me.
Since I do a lot of typing, keyboards are important to me. The Samsung's keyboard felt springy and crisp. The Dell's felt mushy and uncomfortable. I know it is a matter of preference, but a keyboard you don't like can ruin your overall laptop experience.
After the inevitable updates, setup was fast and easy. Strangely enough, I found a couple of the included Samsung apps potentially useful. The Samsung Update app is wonderful for finding out-of-date drivers and updating them. Samsung Security has options like Privacy Folder that lets you hide files and Secret Screen that makes it difficult for people around you to read your screen.
All-in-all, an excellent machine that I can highly recommend.

I've been quite happy with this laptop since I got it. I usually jump for a cheaper acer or hp laptop to save a few bucks, but because I have a Samsung phone, I decided to just stick to Samsung. I'm glad I did. Something about this computer just makes it comfortable to use. The feeling of the keyboard just feels right.
Using it for gaming has not worked at all, but as far as a laptop on the go to do work, it has met every desire. The touchscreen is useful, the ability to rotate the screen 360 is nice. If I had to make a wish, it was that there was some way to protect the keyboard, which ends up facing the ground when in tablet mode.
Other than that, this has been a satisfactory PC.

This laptop does the job better than many others I have had! I use to have a LG and Lenova but have to say Samsung is my favorite. Battery life could be a little longer but everything else is great. The trackpad/mouse is the BEST I have EVER had. I prefer it over an actual mouse! The keyboard is perfect and I find I make little to no mistakes as it is laid out well and I find the sound clicking soothing when I am doing a lot of typing. Screen is good, sound I find better than my LG although I am not using it for movies, just music. Basically I run a ton of screens and programs (up to 25-30) at the same time and it has no issues at ALL!

Got this computer at Best Buy on their Pre Black Friday sale. I have a Samsung phone, so decided to get a Samsung laptop to sync with the phone. So far the computer is great, it is fast and very easy to use. My daughter loves the 3d print app, she loves drawing. I read reviews of people complaining about the loud fan and the heat, so far I have not experience any of that.
My complaint is the first charge, it tooks forever. Also the free virus software is only if you paid with the Best Buy credit card, I did not get the virus software bc I paid in cash. Did not know that was the condition to get that free software.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter on her birthday prior to starting her freshman year at high school. I’ll be honest and say that i didn’t expect to pay this much for her laptop......but I have no regrets. She uses the tablet for her art projects and it’s crazy to see how sensitive and responsive the tablet face is (literally like drawing on paper). The computer is more than fast enough for her needs and I would recommend this as a great first laptop for anyone!

This laptop is light and fast. It comes with fingerprints sensor to unlock your laptop however not properly place coz it’s located in power button that sometimes can coz to shutdown the device.
Cons on this device is no memory card reader and no unlocking options in tablet mode. Other than that can’t complain with the speed and performance on this laptop.

I needed to switch from a Mac to a PC because of the software I use didn't work on my old MacBook Pro. I've never had a PC before, but I love this laptop. The touchscreen is great! I also really like the feel of the keyboard. Battery life is incredible compared to a Mac. Very portable for a student on the go.

Bought this for my wife when she started graduate school. Her old one finally died after years of use. I wanted to get her something light but with some power. This wasn't the cheapest notebook, but it wasn't the most expensive either. Never owned a Samsung notebook before, but they seem to get pretty good reviews from people that have bought them. They weren't wrong. She loves it. It travels easy and works great for her writing her papers and using in class when needed. The battery lasts several hours without a charge. For the price and features it's hard to beat. The Microsoft laptop is several hundred more than this and has nearly the same features.

This is a great little unit. Typically I end up returning any computer I decide upon. So much so, Best Buy put a hold on my account. This is not because I am a dirtbag but because I have to be really happy with my purchases. I almost always find something wrong with every unit until I find the right one. It is only then that I will review Because I don't like to post negativity
Straight out of the Box this unit fired up quickly, was very responsive, and great quality.
I use it to run live music playing at my mobile DJ gigs, a place where things must be reliable.
Smooth, quick, responsive and a great display. I've purchased both Samsung and HP computers for the last few years. Samsung is typically a better quality product for more money, though not that much. I highly recommend this unit.

Familiar w/WIN 10, Needed more capacity & power from previous Dell. Everything is so far, so good.. Samsung was not thinking rationally when they positioned the power on button. Really "dumb". Other then that and after 3 weeks & about 8 PC's, I'm happy w/this one.. Power button ain't the end of the world...

This is by far the best laptop I have ever owned. Its sleek, light and doubles as a tablet. The cover flips all the way back. This is great for traveling. The touch screen makes life so easy. I also can use the Pen, which helps with business.
