no, these are not for a door, they are designed for key chains to keep with you and let the system know you left for arrived.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not a door sensor, this is an arrival sensor you starch to a keychain
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The arrival sensor works with the Hub - it doesn't work with doors directly. You need to get the hub, and then the arrival sensor will work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. As long as the contacts line up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This sensor simply tells the system when someone is there or not. You attach it to your keys and the SmartThings Hub recognizes when you are within range (about 100'). If you leave that range, it marks you as "not present".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Arival Sensor is meant to directly connect to a Samsung Hub I think this question needs more information What lock will you be trying to control ?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is just a sensor that detects that you are within the range of the SmartThings Hub (or home). It does nothing else other than detect that you arrived or left, which you can then trigger to do other actions. To answer your question, It can work anywhere as well as in old homes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not a door sensor so no. This is an arrival sensor that lets you know when someone is coming or going and can be used to atomate SmartThings function such as turning on the lights when you get home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no, this is meant to be carried around by people to indicate whether they are home or away
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is to be used on your key ring or things you carry with you. The only important thing is to make sure your hub can detect your sensor from where you need. Imagine an old house with thick walls or your hub is somewhere it cannot easily reach the arrival sensor, then the performance will not be good at all. It already struggles in ideal conditions. I prefer using the mobile phone detection which is based on your phone location and it directly use your data connection to indicate to the hub you are here or not. However, this is not as accurate as the arrival sensor.
