You can set it up to notify you when the door is opened or closed. You can use the phone app and see if a door is open or closed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The sensor can communicate all of the above, but the your hub is what need to be configured to send the notification. If you are using SmartThings hub, then all of the above is possible. I have mine set to notify when it open, and if it's left open to x amount of time. I also have it send a notification via my Sonos if it's left open for X amount of time, this is especially useful for garage doors and entry doors in the winter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This sensor works with the Smart Things Hub, with it, has what it called SmartApp that are programs that you can customize or use already made. There is one in the Energy Management that tells you if something Left Open for X amount of minutes. It can see the sensor and alert you via Text Message or App Notification.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, there is a smartthings smartapp called "Left It Open" in the "Convenience" category. If something has been left open too long (like a freezer door, or in your case the front door), it'll let you know.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, with the hub you can configure this. You can set the duration (5 minutes, 10 minutes, 2 minutes, etc) that you wish to receive the alert. The alert can be sent as a notification on your phone and/or a text message. Also you can configure these to work as a sensor on your garage door. It works similarly except it can sense when it is angled differently (instead of using the magnet), and it could alert you that the garage door was left open. It also can report the temperature at each sensor -- but note that you need to configure/adjust the temperature in the settings, mine were as much as 8 degrees off when compared to a thermometer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can set-up the smartapp Smart Home Monitor adding a security push/message on a given multi-purpose sensor and delay the sending of the message between opening and this number of minutes you define.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the amount of time can not be specified. It just indicates when contact is seperated that it is "opened" or when the two parts are together that it is "closed".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. There is a smart app for Smartthings to do just that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You just need the correct smart app. Search the forums and i'm willing to bet the smart app you need has already been created
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You can set it up that way. Mine sends me a text if the fridge door is left open!
