I'm afraid this sensor is not meant to be submerged. There are other sensors that have a wire with two probes that I use to tell if my sump pump does not turn on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you did it would only stop alerting when empty... Plus the battery is not sealed so would short out of submerged I would assume.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the contact is not submergable. It only triggers when the two contacts on the bottom are bridged by water or liquid.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, because the body itself is not water-proof. It has a battery and a circuit board, it's not for submerging. It being incidentally wet and submerged are two different things. It also has wireless communication that may be inhibited by being submerged.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this sensor is made to detect the presence of water (e.g., to detect a leak from a faucet, pipe, etc.). There are 2 small metal probes on the bottom, and I suspect when they come into contact with a puddle of water it conducts a signal across the metal sensors and triggers the alert. Good luck.
