You need a video card (GPU) that support 4k output. The GPU will need to have DisplayPort 1.2 or higher which will support native 4k @ 60FPS or GPU cards the have HDMI 2.0 support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on your graphics card. If you are running from the cpu internal graphics z170 or older I believe they can't handle 4k. Usually you have to have SLI or Crossfire to play games well with that resolution. If you have NVidia gtx 780 or newer video graphic cards or AMD R9 graphic cards they can view at 4k. But with single graphic cards I would reduce the resolution to 2560 x 1440 for better response for gaming. Do a right mouse click over the desktop and select display settings. Select advanced display settings than got to the resolution box and click on the down arrow and then select the resolution you want.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure you use display port cable, and make sure your video card can handle 4k.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your video hardware has to support the higher resolution. I have a couple of laptops myself that stop at a resolution of 1080p, so they will only support up to a 1080p output on an external monitor. I understand that “display port” will support the higher resolutions. I hope this helps you. Mike
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.your graphic card might not be strong enough to push 4k...the 10 series is kinda the minimum
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Must send 4K signal
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure you are using Displayport cable connection only. Currently HDMI will not show 4k.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Everyone that said that you need to have a display port connection would be 100% correct. everyone else dont know what they are talking about.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will want to make sure you're using an HDMI 2.0 cable, not a standard HDMI cable. It has a different shaped connector toward the monitor, which won't fit in a standard HDMI port. I tried using a standard HDMI cable in my Samsung monitor, and it would only give me a lower pixel counts in the drop-down menu. After using the HDMI 2.0 cable, my Windows 10 menu showed the full 4K pixel option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To run full 4k resolution you must have this connected via DisplayPort only......not HDMI or any other connection
