• I haven't used the display port output. I connected my Samsung 28" 4K as a second monitor to my iMac 27". The input to the Samsung 28" is through one of two HDMI inputs on back of the monitor. Hope this helps.

• The monitor has 2 HDMI inputs and 1 DP (DisplayPort) input. The DisplayPort output is from whatever is generating the signal (laptop/PC etc.)
