QuestionWill this work with a Bose Solo 5 sound bar? I worry the inlet will be too long when I mount the sound bar. The space between both bolts on the wall mount is only 6 inches.

QuestionIs there a way to purchase replacement screws with the wings for the soundbar portion? My husband unscrewed it to make some changes and the wings came off and are behind the drywall now.

- Answer This product has not been discontinued. The kit contains prewired, in-wall rated cables so you can safely and quickly add a soundbar with wires hidden in the wall with professional results. The kit will work with just about any soundbar. - Answer If your wall is built at least a 2x4 thick you’re good. This doesn’t really need much depth to be installed at all. The wiring inside can be manipulated in between studs in as much space that’s back there between them.

QuestionI have drywall over plaster & lathe resulting in a thickness of almost 1.5" for the wall to drill through. Presuming I can drill the holes needed without a problem, are there longer screws to use for the plastic ears that need to catch behind the wall?

- Answer Yes, you could replace the screws with longer screws (we don't sell them, but they are a standard screw size that can be purchased at any hardware store), however we caution using an in-wall kit like this on plaster since plaster is likely to crack when drilled into.

QuestionDoes this product have to be used strictly on interior walls of a home (where no insulation exist)? Or can this product be used on exterior walls (where insulation would exist)?

- Answer You just mash the insulation back to run the wires. So yes it can be used on an exterior wall. The interior wall where I installed mine had insulation in it. It made fishing the wires harder. Fortunately I have an electricians fish tape. The sticks in the kit tend to bind up in the insulation.

- Answer No you don't need this kit, if you don't mind having a power cord and AV cable or cables exposed between your television and the sound bar. If your sound bar will be tight against the television, then the simple two outlet kit will work. If there is any space between the television and sound bar, or the television is on a swivel mount, you really should just get the three outlet kit.

QuestionWhat is the diameter of the hole made by the circular saw. I will need to make a hole in the back of a wall-mounted entertainment center and I doubt the included hole saw will be up to the task on 5/8"-thick wood. So I will likely buy another hole saw.

- Answer Think it is 2 1/2 inches. And yes that hole saw will cut through wood. You'll have to use a screw driver to push out the wood plug (just like the drywall that will be in there). It's a surprisingly good hole saw.

QuestionHow difficult is it to install this product in an insulated wall?

- Answer Not much harder. I'd recommend using an electrician's fish tape instead of the included fish sticks. Just be careful to not hook the insulation when you pull cables back through the wall.
