Is this mount suitable for over head mounting? null

Since most overheads are fabric, it wont hold. I'd recommend either over in the far left upper driver's windshield corner or over by the rear view mirror if it doesn't block your view of traffic signals, etc.

Depends on how your front window's frame is designed. However, if you are going to use a USB Wire then it my be obstructive to your view. If you intend to use bluetooth only, then that would not require a wire and therefore your view would not be obstructed.

Provided that the metal plate is mounted on your cellphone/component, the Magnet on the Scosche apparatus is strong and will hold well.

Yes, it comes with two different magnetic very thin mounts, one smaller one aproximately 1 1/4 xX 1 1/4 a for a phone and one a little bigger approximately 2 in. wide by 2 1/4 long for a tablet so if you were mounting it overhead you could just use the bigger magnetic sticky and it would work fine, The smaller magnetic piece that sticks to the back of your phone actually would probably work fine overhead because it takes a little slight pull to actually get it to come off the magnetic base.
