Well, no. Your dash is made of plastic, so if there is any residue from the adhesive, WD40 or rubbing alcohol will remove it.

Some people use a piece of monofilament fishing line and hold one end in each hand, slip it under one edge, and just "saw" back and forth through the 3M backing. Regardless, any residue can be just rubbed off with your thumb. No glue marks left behind.
