My experience was, that you lose everything!! How long did you have it? You might be able to email WD and complain and see if they will, at least look at it. I always purchase extend warranties after that CLUSTER- JAM. !! Good luck, I know it suxx to lose everything. Blown through a few of them. It seems that 2tb n 4tb might be just too big of a drive to work properly.
