We would like to inform you that the Shark - Professional Electronic Steam Pocket® Mop has an On/Standby button. By pressing the button once, the steam mop will be in Dist mode. Pressing the button a second time will put it in Mop mode. Continue to press the button until the light around it flashes to stop the steam.

We would like you to know that the pads for the Shark® Professional Electronic Steam Pocket® Mop are washable. We recommend machine washing the pads separately in warm water, using liquid detergent. Never use bleach, powdered detergent, or fabric softeners, as they may damage or leave a coating on the pads.

A:AnswerYes, this mop has a button to use on laminate floors. This prevents the mop from putting out so much steam. I mopped my laminate floors anf it did a great job.
