Certain Monitoring Plans include cellular backup for the Base Station. That means if WiFi is disconnected at your protected location (or if there is no WiFi at all), the system can still send signals to monitoring and 24/7 dispatch. That's different from Smart Alerts, allowing you to receive notifications on your phone for alarm events and warnings. You can set up the SimpliSafe app on an unlimited number of devices, and if you're logged into the same account, all the devices can recieve Push Notifications. You can also set up SMS text notifications for multiple accounts, so your family and friends can receive notifications without having to install the SimpliSafe app.
