• A:Answer OK this is the deal. I purchased this product over the summer and I don't have internet. Yes, it does work without internet and yes it is easy to install. No degree, diploma or education required. One should be able to read and follow instructions. I even used it on my garage door. That part was the most difficult depending on where you put it. The most important thing to me is to use the screws sticky tape falls off to easy. 2nd thing to remember is to make sure the base is centrally located to keep a good signal. Good luck

Q: QuestionCan I just use this system to operate the Simlisafe dead bolt key pad? I don't want to mount the door sensors and have alarms going off ect....

• A:Answer You can certainly choose not to install the Entry Sensors if you like. But we would recommend setting up at least one on the same door as your Smart Lock. Also keep in mind that the SimpliSafe system can be set to three different modes: Away, Home, or Off. In Home or Away Modes, the system will set off an alarm when an active sensor is triggered. When the system is set to Off, it won't trigger an alarm, but can produce a verbal announcement whenever a door or window is opened.

• A:Answer Certain Monitoring Plans include cellular backup for the Base Station. That means if WiFi is disconnected at your protected location (or if there is no WiFi at all), the system can still send signals to monitoring and 24/7 dispatch. That's different from Smart Alerts, allowing you to receive notifications on your phone for alarm events and warnings. You can set up the SimpliSafe app on an unlimited number of devices, and if you're logged into the same account, all the devices can recieve Push Notifications. You can also set up SMS text notifications for multiple accounts, so your family and friends can receive notifications without having to install the SimpliSafe app.
