You can certainly choose not to install the Entry Sensors if you like. But we would recommend setting up at least one on the same door as your Smart Lock. Also keep in mind that the SimpliSafe system can be set to three different modes: Away, Home, or Off. In Home or Away Modes, the system will set off an alarm when an active sensor is triggered. When the system is set to Off, it won't trigger an alarm, but can produce a verbal announcement whenever a door or window is opened.
