A: OK this is the deal. I purchased this product over the summer and I don't have internet. Yes, it does work without internet and yes it is easy to install. No degree, diploma or education required. One should be able to read and follow instructions. I even used it on my garage door. That part was the most difficult depending on where you put it. The most important thing to me is to use the screws sticky tape falls off to easy. 2nd thing to remember is to make sure the base is centrally located to keep a good signal. Good luck
A: You can certainly choose not to install the Entry Sensors if you like. But we would recommend setting up at least one on the same door as your Smart Lock. Also keep in mind that the SimpliSafe system can be set to three different modes: Away, Home, or Off. In Home or Away Modes, the system will set off an alarm when an active sensor is triggered. When the system is set to Off, it won't trigger an alarm, but can produce a verbal announcement whenever a door or window is opened.
