“Is it hard wired or battery powered. What kind of batteries?”

• It does not charge! It is constantly powered by a wall wart phone charger with a flat cable so you need to mount it close to a receptacle (or get an extension).

• These cameras have a power cord, and must be plugged at all times to function. However, they have WiFi capabilities, so can be placed anywhere you have an outlet. I purchased two, and had them setup and working on my network within minutes. Highly recommended.
