The camera works well, but I was a bit surprised that it is not wireless. I was expecting it to be like the rest of my SimpliSafe products and be wireless and have a wall mount bracket, but it was neither. It has a power cord and it only has a small stand that you place on a counter or table top. I wanted to wall mount it so I was able to modify the stand by drilling to holes in the bottom, then I was able to mount it to the wall. Other than that, I wish it was battery powered but I am okay with the power cord.

Great camera that is super simple to set up. Integrates seamlessly with my existing system. Sometimes the QR Code scan can take a minute to take. The package from Best Buy appeared to be a previous return / open box item so be careful when ordering online.

I added the first camera to my Simplisafe system over a month ago. I was hesitating between the Nest cameras and Simplisafe. I decided to go with Simplisafe and I can say that I'm satisfied with the performance. The angle is really wide and covers about 90 degrees. From the app you can zoom from the screen with your fingers. The quality of the image is HD and acceptable. I wish it could adjust when the image is against the light; it comes out a bit dark. I also wished that it had some kind of battery in case of a blackout. Overall, it performs well and is well adapted to the Simplisafe ecosystem. The night vision works really well. It's easy to access from the app. I have added two more cameras since, and I'm not disappointed.

This camera was extremely easy to set up with my existing Simplified security system. The video quality is excellent and I can hear clearly from the internal mic. You can use it for live viewing to keep an eye on pets or kids for free, or for $5 month hey motion notifications and save clips for 10 days. It has worked great. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it has gotten stuck during software updates a few times and I had to manually reset it to get it working again. Easy fix though, just unplugging it for a few minutes.

They work really well and the video quality is good. The night vision feature is a nice touch. My only gripe is that the instructions do not mention that you need to connect to a 2g connection. I finally figured it out after multiple failed attempts to connect to my 5g connection.

I was curious about the system so I purchased the camera as a test thinking it was an IP sort of deal but it wasn't. It will display on your smartphone but to save anything you have to have the hub and/or subscribe to the service which is fine but I wasn't at that point. I already own a DVR system but the ease and setup of this wireless system is attractive if you want the monthly monitoring. The camera itself works well with night vision and the infrared. SimpliSafe offered a deal with a free camera with the purchase of a system. Since I already owned a camera, I asked if they would substitute a couple of the other accessories instead if I went with the system. They refused so I let it drop. But I may go for it at a later date. I wouldn't hesitate buying the camera if you already own their system and just want a visual mode. Worth it.

We got this camera to have in our living room because we wanted to see the dog whenever we were not home. The camera is really nice, it's small and the quality of video is good, everything looks clear when you are on the go and check your home on the camera app. I took off a star because it would be nice if it was wireless but also the wire isn't long if you wanted to place this somewhere high and needed it to reach a plug. Also, if you want to keep recordings or have access to continuous footage, you have to pay a membership with the camera company. Ultimately, we had to return it because our dog didn't like the lens noise this would make lol but I think this is a great camera to keep at home!

Great camera. Allows us to check in on things at anytime. Super easy set up and a clear color view of what's happening with sound.

Purchased at Best Buy due to a good sale. I needed to add to my Simplisafe system and am not disappointed. The picture quality is great and was easy to hookup. The night vision picture is good quality also.

I am not sure why some people give this camera negative reviews. My wife and I bought it to simply hook it to the internet so I can look in on our house while we are not there. We don't pay for the monitoring or any monthly fees. The camera is clear and works great. I love it.

Got this for my toddler room since we have the security system. Easy installation, it is not wireless as you have to plug it it for power, the audio is slow, I hate the clicker sound. Can’t watch it without the clicker sound coming on which interrupts my toddler, also I would not use it as a nanny can or something of such because it would always make a loud sound when it comes on or off.

The camera provides a high quality video at a reasonable price. Easy set up and placement options makes installation easy even for a novice. The recent upgrade of two-way communications increased its performance and value. On the down side there is a noticeable delay in response times (3-5 seconds) but in most cases it is tolerable.

Good, clear video. Picture is one size only (a little too small for me) and is a still camera. It fits the purpose I intended it for.

Great camera! Easy to use. Picture is clear. The shutter is fairly loud when opening and closing. You might consider setting the shutter open all the time in the simplisafe app.

One of the few accessories that can be added to the old generation and the new generation SimpliSafe systems. Nice clear picture and I like the ability to see when the shutter is open to guarantee privacy. Had a few issues with shutter settings in the beginning, but got them resolved quickly. Great buy on Best Buy’s deal of the day for $50

has a privacy slider so its not always recording you, works good with the security system. When the alarm goes off the monitoring company can veiw the camera to inform the police whats going on in your house. You can also access the camera yourself at any time through the mobile app.

I got this camera to go with my SimpliSafe security system. The camera is easy to use on the app but it has a really bad lagging issue. Lately it’s been extremely frustrating to look at the camera because of this lagging problem. I also have another SimpliSafe cam with an outdoor case at my front door and that one also has the lagging issue. Over time I feel that the lagging has gotten worse on both cameras.

Love the quality of the video. It’s clear in the night as well. I have a little bit of issues with the audio being clear and app does delay or crash. App is user friendly though. You do not need to pay for the monthly service to utilize the camera which is nice!

I was a bit torn if I should give these a 3* or a 4* review for one simple reason - access. These cameras work GREAT for the price. Within a couple seconds i can get the app up and access them. * BUT * Regardless of my network, if Simplisafe has any sort of outage on their end, you cannot access the camera even if you're not subscribed to their service. They basically go through a third party before going out to your phone or whatever device you're using to access the cameras. If I knew that before, and that I cannot record unless I pay a monthly fee, I probably would have gone with a different system. It's more of a set it, pay monthly, and forget it vs self manage system. I really wanted something that can do both well so that I can have someone else monitor if I leave on holiday, but still have good options for self monitoring. The latter fails by my standards.

I bought the camera to go along with my SimliSafe security system. Very easy set up, with good light full color HD video using the SimplliSafe app and in low light B&W video. Excellant picture quality! has good low light and infra red light source built in. Privacy metal shutter close when not active and adjustable on line settings. If you have the SimpliSafe security system it is a must have to complete your system.
