Q: Does the simple safe camera have talk capability
A: 01/11/19, I have four cameras and could only listen on them. I have had the first gen system for a while now. Today I noticed one of the cameras had the microphone icon next to the record icon and it stated “hold to talk, release to listen.” I tested it by viewing and listening with my iPhone on one camera, while speaking on my iPad on the one with the icon. It worked. Now my question is “why do my other three cameras not have the microphone icon?” Guess it is time to call Simplisafe.
Q: can you connect 2 phones to one SimpliCam
A: Yes you can. It can be connected to as many as you want as long as they have your password.
A: Unfortunately, it only records with a monthly service. If you don't purchase the service, all you get is a notification if it was triggered, but you won't be able to see the video, unless you actually click on live view to see. Hope this helps.
A: Yes you can. It has, let's say, a "baby monitor" type function through your smartphone with sound, too. But it's potential is for the full SimpliSafe system with the hub. Its video quality is nice, though.
Q: How does it work if you buy 2? Can I access both cameras at once?
A: In the SimpliSafe iPhone application, you see both cameras listed by name (a name that you create when adding the camera to your system). But to watch the camera video live, you must select one only and then "VIEW LIVE." If you have set them up to automatically record when motion is detected, it is possible to record from both cameras at the same time. However, when you want to watch previously recorded video, you select one video to watch at a time. I hope this helps.
