01/11/19, I have four cameras and could only listen on them. I have had the first gen system for a while now. Today I noticed one of the cameras had the microphone icon next to the record icon and it stated “hold to talk, release to listen.” I tested it by viewing and listening with my iPhone on one camera, while speaking on my iPad on the one with the icon. It worked. Now my question is “why do my other three cameras not have the microphone icon?” Guess it is time to call Simplisafe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can hear what's going on through the cam but you can't talk into it like a ring cam!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.on your phone, you can hear what they say or noises in the room that you are viewing but you have no way of speaking in your phone and be broadcast into the room you are watching
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It appears as of the latest app update, Simplisafe has finally enabled 2 way audio via the Simplicams. I have 3 and all of them now show a microphone icon (push and hold to talk) and have tested them all via the Android app. Previously, you could only hear audio thru the cams. My cams were also obtained during the beta testing so are some of the oldest ones out there so no worries as to this only working with newer versions. Now if they would release their outdoor rated cams.......
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You're supposed to be able to do 2-way communication via both the doorbell cam and the Simplicam (indoor camera) and I have been able to in the past; however now it doesn't work at either location where we have a system and Simplisafe tech support has no clue just reading from a script telling us to do things we've already done.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only one of my cameras have the two way audio magically added today. I love the feature. However, my camera is in constant recording mode and I do not know how to stop it from recording constantly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Similar to the other poster I noticed the microphone just today, pressed it and it works. Just to be safe I added in the camera on my routers QOS settings with the highest priority.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
