“I have a Sony Bravia XBR65x900E TV hooked to this soundbar through ARC. Is there a way with this TV-Soundbar combination to control the volume level that commercials make go much louder? I'd like to have a consistent volume level.”

Use your TV Volume Offset Setting Keeps volume level constant across all programs and advertisements (e.g. Advertisements tend to be louder than programs). Volume Offset. Adjusts the current volume level relative to other inputs, when “Setting Memory” is set to the current input.
