A:AnswerMy response to this would be to just play with the settings to your liking. There are base settings on the TV but they never meet my standards on the picture. Anyone will tell you to just play with the settings.
I have this same TV and have no issues with maintaining a good picture. It beats my friend's LG and Samsung tv by a long shot so i would stick with Sony. Not only for the picture quality but those two brands cannot surpass the TV's processor which makes a big deal when displaying a picture and the refresh rate of those images.
A:AnswerYou can go directly to another input from the remote control. Just hit input on the top left of the remote and it should give you the option on the tv screen.
A:AnswerI wouldn't recommend doing so, the import duty is crazy.. If you pay about 8% more to it you could get support and warranty from the manufacturer..
A:Answerany good quality surge protector will work. Best Buy sells Rocketfish which is one of their house brands. Surge protectors last a very long time. Typically you would only need to replace if the surge protector was "surged" or hit by lightening.
A:AnswerYes, but unless you plan on buying/renting 4K content via sony entertainment store or have a 4k camcorder and want to store your home movies on to its hard drive - I would save your money for now until more content becomes available. I have this unit, but since I dont have a camcorder - its a bit redundant since I can access netflix natively with the tv by itself.
It does not have a very big selection for movies - and unlike the tv, it does not have apps for Vudu, Hulu, Pandora etc.
I would just wait for now.

A:AnswerIt's a really good tv and gets a perfect picture. Make sure you take advantage of the 4K capability. We have had no issues with this tv. I don't know much about TiVo but I don't think you'll have any issues
A:Answerhz is also the FPS. A TV is just made with that Max number and could not go upwards, just downwards. Like a 120hz could be disabled which puts it <120hz, just don't know what they follow. Maybe 60hz..
