Yes, but unless you plan on buying/renting 4K content via sony entertainment store or have a 4k camcorder and want to store your home movies on to its hard drive - I would save your money for now until more content becomes available. I have this unit, but since I dont have a camcorder - its a bit redundant since I can access netflix natively with the tv by itself. It does not have a very big selection for movies - and unlike the tv, it does not have apps for Vudu, Hulu, Pandora etc. I would just wait for now.
