Can a set of computer speakers (2 satellites and wired subwoofer) be plugged into the headphone jack to enhance the sound? My new SONY 55" 4K UHD TV, Model #XBR55X810C, has a headphone jack. Can a set of speaker monitors (designed for computers) be plugged in to enhance the sound without damaging the TV?

Yes, I have two altec Lansing speakers and a subwoofer plugged in and they work great. Go into audio settings to activate.

Yeah. Any speakers you can use for your pc, you can use through the tv head phone jack

I don't see why not - the computer speakers should have their own amplifier in them, especially to "drive" the subwoofer. Should not be a problem.

Don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. But you really want some surround sound speakers to get the most out of it. If you're getting a nice tv don't skimp on the speakers
