turn on" Live Color" to low ,med ,high or [off] also set the black adjust to [high ]and the adv contrast to [off] set black level at 50 and brightness and contrast to maximum I recently bought an XBR55x850C HDR ready set here at B.B but these settings work on [ all the Sonys . ] Aside from no HDR and 3D the Sony XBR X810C sets are most excellent and spitting hair difference to the next model up on regular bt709 content . Action Menu > picture settings > advanced picture setting > brightness menu
