“While this works wireless, can you use wired connections for an iPhone, so that I can charge my phone and at the same time have a stable wired connection that does not use up my iPhones battery. I am concerned that wireless nav won't be stable enough?”

I've seen several iPhone users indicate connectivity issues with this unit. My understanding is that you can use a wired connection for your charging needs.
