Questioncan i record a good quality videos of up to 200 yards with this camera or should i get nikon p900 for that? i want to use it for hunting pics of deer of 200 yards away... and target practice of 200yards away

- Answer Yes, you should be able to get good video at 200 yds, easily. However, there are many other factors besides the camera that will make a difference - like make sure you have a tripod or monopod, lighting, movement in the shot, etc. My Sony does excellent at log distance video or stills.

QuestionI know this camera takes a rechargeable battery, but can it also take a regular non-rechargeable battery just in case your rechargeable battery dies?

- Answer The reason why it doesn't go down in price is because it's a Sony camera. But, you also have piece of mind because it's a great quality camera and the fact that it starts the same price shows that it's an amazing camera that hasn't lost its value. I have it and I would definer recommend it. P.s it's $50 of right now at best but just FYI.

QuestionCan you zoom in while taking a video?

- Answer Yes, you can zoom in and out while taking video. What you cannot do is take still shots while taking video, but this isn't a huge issue as it is easy to use editing software to separate out a single frame.

QuestionHas Sony corrected all focusing issues which were prevalent in the HX200V? That model will not focus if you are between 2 & 8 feet away from your subject. Sony admitted it was a glitch but did not offer to fix the camera or issue firmware to fix it.

- Answer I have not used this new camera enough to honestly answer this question...The few pictures I have taken, however, are not as clear as my cannon pictures, but I do love the features on the sony. The Cannons does not offer a view finder on a simple camera without the the extra zoom lens. I wanted all in one camera. So far, I like the Sony and will take more pictures before my trial time is up before I can answer this question..

Questiondoes this camera record at 1080p and does the flip screen go to the side of the camera so you could see yourself from looking at the lens ?

- Answer Hi Jose, The Sony DSCHX400 can record at 1080p. The screen tilts on a hinge-style system, which means you can't flip it 180 degrees for a selfie, but it does come in handy for shooting at odd angles comfortably. -Anthony

- Answer Hi. Ivanhernandez1, based on the specs sheet of the DSC-HX400, there's no compatible Sony lens hood for this model. You can use the PCK-LS to protect the LCD of this camera from scratches/staining. I hope this helps, Dave

- Answer Hi, the camera has a power save setting (Pwr Save Start Time) that would turn the camera off if you don't use it for the specified amount of time. Thanks_Mitch

- Answer Yes, this camera can be used with glasses. I wear glasses myself. Have used both the LCD screen and the viewfinder with no problem.
