The reason why it doesn't go down in price is because it's a Sony camera. But, you also have piece of mind because it's a great quality camera and the fact that it starts the same price shows that it's an amazing camera that hasn't lost its value. I have it and I would definer recommend it. P.s it's $50 of right now at best but just FYI.
