“Has Sony corrected all focusing issues which were prevalent in the HX200V? That model will not focus if you are between 2 & 8 feet away from your subject. Sony admitted it was a glitch but did not offer to fix the camera or issue firmware to fix it.”

I have not used this new camera enough to honestly answer this question...The few pictures I have taken, however, are not as clear as my cannon pictures, but I do love the features on the sony. The Cannons does not offer a view finder on a simple camera without the the extra zoom lens. I wanted all in one camera. So far, I like the Sony and will take more pictures before my trial time is up before I can answer this question..
